"Does God laugh, Mommy?" "Did God wear work gloves when he made the world, Mommy?"And of course, "How many more days until we go to Idaho?" And then there's this one, "When Daisy gets grown up, can we give her away and get a new pet like a bird or a kitty?" I said, "We will keep Daisy until she dies. And yes, someday we might get another pet." Phoebe: "Oh, good, then when I die and go to heaven, I can see her there!" (Do I need to touch this theological mammoth...I don't think so!) Anyway, this is the age I would freeze Phoebe in if I could. She is a wonder, and ever saying adorable things.
